Initial Post on 21 October 2024
We are honoured to have YAB Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor, Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari as the honourable guest and accompanied by our CEO Adam Saffian Ghazali FCA, to contribute basic food assistance such as rice, oil, sugar, dry goods, flour and other basic foods, to 300 residents of DUN Sungai Tua community through our CSR programme, Box of Hope in conjunction with our 5th anniversary celebration, at Dewan Rakyat Batu Caves, Selangor yesterday.
YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin in his speech said, “Air Selangor’s proactive steps through the Sesama Mara CSR initiative, which includes various programmes such as handing over the Box of Hope to the B40 community today, not only help ease the burden of the people, but it is a clear example of how the state government along with state-owned companies remain committed to ensuring that the welfare of the people continues to be prioritised. I hope this programme continues to grow and benefit more people in the future” he added.
The ceremony was also enlivened by the presence of Selangor FC (SFC), which is also a strategic partner of Air Selangor, in organising a football clinic together with 50 children aged 7 to 12 years as an early exposure to the sport of football. The public also had the opportunity to check the eligibility and apply for the Skim Air Darul Ehsan (SADE), a reapportion programme to provide free water to the target group of Selangor residents, during the event.
Since the Box of Hope programme was introduced in June 2020, a total of 6,035 Box of Hope boxes have been distributed to the B40 community. This donation is expected to have a positive impact on the recipients to ease the burden of their daily expenses. The Box of Hope programme is part of Air Selangor’s CSR initiative, Sesama Mara, which aims to help the surrounding community while strengthening Air Selangor’s relationship with various layers of society such as local communities, residents’ associations, local authorities and non-governmental organisations.
