Ensuring Long-Term Water Sustainability: Air Selangor and JBA Renew Commitment to PPAMPS Operations

Air Selangor recently signed Supplemental Agreement No. 2 for the Pahang–Selangor Raw Water Transfer Project (PPAMPS) with the Water Supply Department (JBA), under the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA).

The agreement was signed by Air Selangor Chief Executive Officer, Adam Saffian Ghazali, alongside the Director General of the Water Supply Department, Ir. Ts. Anita Mohamed Shafie. Since 2020, Air Selangor has been tasked with managing the operation and maintenance of four core components of PPAMPS, such as the raw water transfer tunnel, the Kelau Dam, the Semantan intake and pumping station, and the twin pipeline.

Through Supplemental Agreement No. 2, the strategic partnership between Air Selangor and JBA is further strengthened, ensuring the operation and maintenance of the PPAMPS facilities continue to be managed efficiently, systematically and sustainably.
