Air Selangor Shares the joy of Deepavali celebration, under the CSR initiative, Sesama Mara, with Charity Homes
Initial Post on 30.10.2024
In sharing the joy of Deepavali celebration, under our CSR initiative, Sesama Mara, we organised an interactive mental health workshop with children at Rumah Kebajikan Karunai Illam, Kuala Lumpur, and extended contributions to two other charity homes: Pertubuhan Kebajikan Thangam Illam (Ampang) and Persatuan Kebajikan Sri Saradha Devi Illam (Rawang).
The mental health workshop, conducted by SAPOT Warriors, a certified social support platform, alongside Air Selangor’s Hydro Heroes volunteer team helped participants understand and manage their emotions through creative tie-dye clothing activities, adding vibrant colours to their Deepavali celebration. This marks the second time Air Selangor has held a mental health workshop, specifically aimed at children as part of its continuous efforts to engage with the community and support their mental well-being. At the same time, we also donated essential items such as groceries, food, and household supplies to 83 children from the three participating charity homes.
We hope to continue touching the lives of the various segments of society with care and social responsibility through Sesama Mara initiative. Part of this initiative, our Box of Hope programme has benefited B40 families where a total of 6,335 Box of Hope, consisting of essentials food items have been distributed to these families in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya since it was introduced on 30 June 2020.
