Air Selangor Advances Water Conservation Education Through Engagements with UniKL MESTECH and PETRONAS
In our ongoing effort to champion water conservation education and cultivate a water-saving culture across communities, Air Selangor recently participated in two series of engagement programmes focusing on community education and expertise sharing with industry partners.
Air Selangor welcomed an academic visit from 40 Environmental Health programme students from UniKL MESTECH at the Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant to gain insights into the operational landscape of water management. The students were also introduced to the use of water thimbles as one of the key water-saving initiatives.
Our commitment to water sustainability was also extended to the regional level through the participation of the Water Conservation Unit (WCU) and the Non-Revenue Water (NRW) Department in PETRONAS HSSE Week 2026 organised by PETRONAS Lubricants International. During the session, Air Selangor shared insights on water sustainability plans and non-revenue water management, which was broadcast live to PETRONAS employees across the ASEAN region.
Air Selangor remains committed to champion water conservation education and cultivating a culture of water-saving at the community level, particularly across Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya.
