Air Selangor Distributes 600 Essential Food Boxes Across Selangor Ahead of Deepavali
Through its Sesama Mara Community Investment initiative, Air Selangor organised four series of Box of Hope programme to distribute 600 food boxes containing essential food items to underprivileged communities at several locations, namely Bandar Utama (Petaling), Kampung Kelanang (Kuala Langat), Kampung Kalong Tengah (Hulu Selangor) and Bukit Lanjan (Gombak).
The programme was attended by YB Pua Pei Ling, Bukit Lanjan State Assemblywoman (ADUN) at Bukit Lanjan; Adam Saffian Ghazali, Chief Executive Officer of Air Selangor, at Kampung Kelanang; as well as DUN Coordinators, Councillors, Village Heads, Air Selangor’s Heads of Department and Regional Heads at across all locations.
Throughout the programme, a total of 57 Air Selangor Hydro Heroes volunteers hit the ground running to assist with packing and distributing food boxes, ensuring the smooth execution of the programme. Since its launch in 2020, the Box of Hope initiative has distributed a total of 9,836 food boxes as of November 2026 to families in need across Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
