Air Selangor Hands Over Dam Emergency Action Plan (EAP) to Selangor UPEN
Air Selangor, as the dam operator, has officially handed over the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) document to the dam owner, the Selangor State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN).
The handover was formalised by Air Selangor’s representative, Head of Production Department, Ir. Azlan Abdullah, to the Deputy Director of UPEN, Mohammad Azhari Salleh. This strategic step reflects the ongoing commitment of both parties to ensure that the dams are maintained at the highest operational standard and remain safe.
The preparation of this EAP document serves as a primary reference outlining emergency response procedures, early warning systems, inter-agency communication structures, and resident evacuation plans in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Air Selangor will continue to work closely with local authorities and emergency services such as the Selangor State Government Disaster Management Unit, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), and the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM) to ensure more efficient disaster management for the safety and well-being of the community.
