Programme ‘Lestari Air’
Our water conservation awareness series, “Program Lestari Air “ reached over 400 students across university and primary school students in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur throughout June 2025. Participating organisations included SK Merbau Sempak (Sungai Buloh), SK Polis Depot (Kuala Lumpur), SK Tanjong Karang (Kuala Selangor) and Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur).
Through this programme, we instill awareness of water conservation from an early age among these students. We also held interactive quizzes and group activities, encouraging them to adopt responsible water-saving habits. Additionally, we promoted the use of water thimbles, which can reduce water consumption.
We hope this programme can accelerate progress towards achieving the long-term plan of individual’s 160 liters per capita per day (LCD) target by 2030, as outlined by Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (SPAN).
