Spreading festive cheer: Air Selangor Celebrates National Day with STEM Learning and Birthday Surprises for Underprivileged Children
In conjunction with the 69th National Day celebrations, Air Selangor brought merdeka spirit through its Merdeka Festive Cheer CSR initiative to 54 residents from Rumah Bakti Al-Kausar (Rumah Angkat Semai Nurani, a programme under Air Selangor’s Sesama Mara community investment initiative) and Rumah Kebajikan Darul Najjah at Petrosains, Kuala Lumpur.
Accompanied by Hydro Heroes volunteers, the children explored interactive exhibits designed to spark their interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) while fostering a spirit of patriotism. The event was further enlivened by a special birthday celebration for children born in August.
Also in attendance were Head of Customer Experience, Mohd Yunus Othman, and Head of Water Quality, Ir. Zairi Zainuddin. Air Selangor remains committed to strengthening community engagement through initiatives that support education, youth development and social well-being, as part of its broader commitment to positive and sustainable social impact.
