Strengthening Operational Readiness: Air Selangor Collaborates with Key Agencies for Sungai Langat Dam Simulation

Air Selangor recently conducted a comprehensive dam crisis simulation exercise involving the Sungai Langat Dam as part of its ongoing commitment to ensuring infrastructure safety and water supply continuity in the event of potential disasters.

The simulation exercise aimed to improve operational preparedness and strengthen emergency coordination between Air Selangor and various local disaster management agencies. This proactive step ensures that existing action plans remain relevant and can minimise the impact if any incidents occur at the dam.

The simulation exercise was attended by Air Selangor Chief Executive Officer, Adam Saffian Ghazali, Hulu Langat District Officer, Dato’ Haji Mohd Jusni Hashim, the Malaysia Civil Defence Force, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM), the Selangor State Disaster Management Unit and other relevant agencies.

Air Selangor remains committed to conducting such preparedness exercises regularly to instil a comprehensive risk management culture, thus ensuring the stability and continuity of the water supply system for consumers.
