The Pipe Replacement Programme As the Main Initiative To Reduce the Rate of Non-Revenue Water (NRW)

The strategic pipe replacement programme is seen as one of the main initiatives to reduce the rate of Non-Revenue Water (NRW) which in turn can guarantee a sustainable water supply for all consumers. Since 2016, about 11% or 636.55 km of 5,600 km length of aging pipes have been replaced in our efforts to reduce the rate of NRW.
Additionally, in addressing NRW, the Leak Report Campaign was launched in 2023 to enable the public to report incidents of pipe burst/leak, meter leak and illegal tapping.
